We will be back here again and again! The food is yummy, thumbs up especially to the server Daniel. He's helpful and cares for customers

I'm still raving about their Taiwanese style bao choices, and the sesame balls were incredible. I'm coming back soon, even though I live over 20 miles away! Beautiful decor and peaceful too.

First meal of 2025! Was really craving some Din Tai Fung, but knew we would be asking for a long wait without a reservation on New Years. I was excited to see that there was Taiwanese food that seemed very similar to DTF right down the street in RSM! Here is what we ordered: Kurobuta Pork and Shrimp Wontons w/ Spicy Sauce: This was the highlight of the meal! The wontons were so flavorful and the spicy sauce was a great touch. I would say this was slightly spicer than the one from DTF, but nevertheless, just as good. Pan Fried Rice Cake w/ Shredded Pork $14: Large portion for the price! The pork and rice cake were soft and the perfect texture. There were lots of veggies than expected, but still a flavorful dish. Sweet and Sour Pork Baby Back Ribs $14.50: The ribs were decent. It is not as sticky as I imagined it to be. The sauce was all sitting at the bottom, so dipping the ribs in before eating it seemed to be the trick. Other than that, they were fall off the bone, but a bit dry for me. Pineapple Beef $14.50: This was probably my least favorite dish. It was very tangy with a bit of spice. Just not the flavor profile I was really looking for. What was pictured was definitely not what came out. Mango Grove Bliss $16: I enjoyed this drink. It reminded me of a good old Mango Calpico drink. It was pretty sweet, with not much alcohol tastee. I would say the drinks are a bit pricey for what you get. $16 for a drink compared to the plates that range from $12-15. Overall, we got seated immediately and the ordering process was all online. From the time we put our order into the time we got out food, it was about 5-10 minutes. The menu was definitely large and we did not get to try some of their staples such as the XLB and the pan fried dumplings. This is definitely a good choice to return to if you are in South OC and don't want to make the drive or to wait in line at DTF. Will probably be back!

Cute dining area with decorations in front and inside of the store. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good and as expected for XLB, veggies, beef rolls, noodles, and green onion pancake. They didn't have veggie dumplings available when I went though, so that was a bummer. Needs more options for vegetarian/vegan if possible and more dumpling options without pork. Their fried calamari batter had egg, so I couldn't try it, but husband says it was o.k. and probably will skip it if we drop by again. Glad they were able to do crab fried rice without egg for us. Don't forget to submit a photo to get a tart lemony iced black tea!

amazing people amazing food dont miss this feast. Please come and try all food is very tasty

Amazing food and service! We have been here there times and every dish has been amazing! Love the soup dumplings, noodle dishes, everything! Let's support this gem!

Authentic gourmet Taiwanese cuisine in the heart of Rancho Santa Margarita. I never thought that would happen. Impeccable and attentive service. Classy decor and soothing music. Bustling kitchen with dumpling makers behind the glass. The XLB is top notch. Forget about DTF, this is much better at a fraction of the cost. Cha Siu Bao is done the way it is supposed to be. Red, sweet, tender pork in a creamy white bun. Crispy pan fried dumplings are superb. And the crispy beef rolls are slightly sweet with crunchy greens. Best part of my meal. Finish it all with shredded pork fried rice. Expertly crafted. No need to drive to Irvine, DTLA, or the San Gabriel valley. Superb Chinese cuisine is now in RSM.

Was super excited to try this restaurant the day before I even got into town. I was not disappointed. my experience started with a friendly staff letting me know to sit anywhere i wanted. I chose to sit at the kitchen window, watching two young ladies making dumplings and bao buns basically at my table. It was memorizing and a wonderful way to grow my appetite. The menu is huge, there are pictures of most items. A vast selection of dumplings and bao buns. I was in the mood for Kung Pao chicken and Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce. The dishes were plated well and tasted as good as they looked. Enjoying this wonderful meal all the while watching the kitchen do their magic put a huge smile on my face. So much, that a customer nearby decided to strike up a conversation. She explained that she comes from the east coast and makes it a point to visit this authentic Chinese restaurant. I love when I feel like I made a great choice. I will be back.

I took my family to Mimi Garden this past weekend, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. My two young kids love pan fried dumplings and XLB, so we got those items for them. The dumplings were nice and crispy. The skin was not too heavy, just right and the meat inside was juicy and flavorful. The XLB was great also. The soup inside was tasty. My daughter really enjoyed it. The skin was not too thick also. I ordered the fried pork for my wife and I, but the kids ended up eating half of the order because they liked the crispiness of it. We ended up getting the crispy beef rolls and the sautéed spinach (not pictured) as we forgot since we were chowing down on our other food. The beef rolls were really good. I liked the flavor of the beef with the hoisin sauce. The skin was nice and crispy and everything blended in nicely. The spinach came out last, and it was nice and fresh and garlicky! There was so much in our order that we ended up having left overs, which was great. The ambiance itself was more upscale than I had expected. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We came at a busy time, and we ended up getting Ulysses as our server, and he was top notch! He was very friendly, and very helpful. We ordered some items we knew we wanted, and he recommended some other items. During our meal, he came back to check up on us multiple times. His level of service was excellent, which added to our overall experience. At the end, he asked if our kids could have a few candies, which was so nice of him. Living in south OC, I didn't expect a place like this in RSM, but glad we finally tried it out. We'll definitely go back as it's authentic. Most importantly, it's kid approved!

Located somewhere in OC, Mimi Garden is a viable place to have XLB and well presented Chinese food and very friendly service. Came with a party of 7 and we all had plenty of dishes to try. XLB was good (4.5/5) Sticky rice was good (4/5) Fried rice was good (4/5) Egg roll with duck sauce was awesome-ite (3/5) The bok choy with shiitake mushrooms was good (3.5/5) The Xia Xia Mein didn't have much flavor (3/5) Green onion pancake was good (3.5/5) Crispy Beef roll w/cilantro was very good (4.5/5) Can't recall any other dish. The overall vibe is warm and friendly with plenty of space and this place was at least 90% occupied on a Sunday night. All in all, it was good and service was great but the flavors lacked something and everything seem somewhat bland for some reason. Everything was good but unremarkable. Would come here again though. All and all, 3.75 experience for me that I'll round up to 4 because of the friendly staff.
